Scale
A Scale refers to the structured breakdown of an employee’s salary or wage, defined according to their grade, position, or designation. It includes the components that determine the total pay, such as basic salary, allowances, bonuses, and deductions.
This section enables you to create, manage, and assign salary scales to employees, ensuring standardized and consistent payroll processing throughout the organization.
From here, you will see the scale list. From the list, you can view all the details, such as:
ID: The unique identification number of the scale
Name: The name of the scale
Status: Indicates whether the scale is active or inactive
Action: Options to perform multiple actions, such as View, edit, or delete

Search: You can find out any specific scale from the list by using the search functionality.

Add New Scale
The Add New Scale function allows you to create a new salary structure for specific roles, grades, or designations. Each scale defines how an employee’s total salary is calculated, including the basic pay, allowances, and deductions.
This feature enables the HR or Admin team to establish standardized salary structures across the organization, ensuring fairness and consistency in payroll processing.
Steps to Add a New Scale:

Basic Salary: Define the fixed basic salary for employees under this scale. This is the foundation for all other salary calculations.
Overtime: Set up the overtime amount per hour.
Status: Set the scale is active or inactive
Additions: Addition allowance components applicable for this scale, such as: House Rent Allowance, Medical Allowance, Transport Allowance, Bonus, and Other Allowances.
Deductions: Specify applicable deductions, like Provident Fund (PF), Tax / VAT, Insurance Premium, Loan Installments, and other deductions that can be added.
Fixed: The Additions and deductions component set can be fixed or not.
Save Scale: Once all the required fields are filled, click Save to create and store the new scale in the system.

The scale will now be available for assignment under the Employee Setup and Payroll module. The scale can be applied when you want to add staff or edit existing staff.
