This is the fastest setup path. Meta handles most configuration through OAuth.

What you need

• A Facebook Business Manager account

• Admin access to that Business Manager

• A phone number for WhatsApp Business (preferably a new number)

Steps

1. Go to the WhatsApp admin page in ChatPilot.

2. Click "Connect WhatsApp" in the recommended section.

3. Continue through Facebook login/authorization.

4. Follow the Meta setup wizard to:

• Create or select a business manager.

• create/select a WhatsApp Business Account

• add and verify the phone number

• grant required permissions

5. Return to ChatPilot and confirm the account appears as connected.

Phone number warnings

• Prefer a new phone number for API onboarding.

• If you must use an existing WhatsApp number, back up chats first.

• Personal WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business API cannot share the same active number.

• After migration to Business API, rollback to personal use may not be possible.

Common troubleshooting

• Redirect issues: ensure you are logged into the correct Business Manager.

• OAuth errors: clear browser cookies and re-authenticate.

• HTTPS problems: embedded signup requires HTTPS outside local development.

• Callback errors: verify callback URL and app configuration in Meta.
