Adding and Configuring Exam Subjects

Overview

The Exam Subjects module is where you define the specific timetable for an exam. This includes selecting the subjects, assigning exam dates, and determining whether Theory or Practical components should be visible on student reports.

Navigation Path

  1. Go to: CBSE Examination > Exam.

  2. Locate the specific exam in the Exam List.

  3. In the Action column, click the Action button and choose Exam Subjects.



1. Adding Subjects to an Exam

Once the Add Exam Subject modal opens, verify the Exam Name, Class, and Section shown at the top.

  1. Initialize Rows: Click the [+] button on the right side of the modal to create subject input fields.

  2. Select Subject: Choose a subject from the Select dropdown menu.

  3. Configure Component Visibility:

    • Theory/Practical/Assignment Checkboxes: In the Assessment column, select the checkboxes for Theory and/or Practical and/or Assignment.

    • Note: Marks will only appear on the marksheet if these boxes are checked.

  4. Set Schedule Details:

    • Exam Date: Select the date from the calendar.

    • Start Time: Input the time the exam begins.

    • Duration: Enter the length of the exam in minutes.

    • Room Number: Assign the specific classroom or hall.

  5. Add More or Remove:

    • Click [+] again to add more subjects.

    • Click the (-) icon to the right of any row to remove a subject from the list.

  6. Finalize: Click the [Save] button to commit the timetable.
