The Exams module acts as the central hub for your examination management. Here, you define when an exam occurs, which classes are participating, and when to make schedules and results visible to students.
PrerequisitesBefore creating an exam, ensure the following modules are configured:
Terms: (e.g., Term 1, Term 2)
Assessments: (e.g., Periodic Test, Final Theory)
Grades: The grading scale to be applied to the results.
Navigate: Go to CBSE Exam > Exams.
Open Form: Click the [+ Add Exam] button in the top-right corner to open the Add Exam modal.
Enter Exam Details:
Exam Name: Enter a specific title (e.g., Half-Yearly Examination 2024).
Description: Add context or instructions for the exam.
Link Configurations:
Term: Select the relevant Academic Term from the dropdown.
Class & Section: Choose the specific student groups for this exam.
Assessment: Select the assessment structure to be used.
Grade: Choose the grading scale that will determine final letter grades.
Is Published: Mark if you want to publish the exam or not.
Save: Click [Save]. The exam will appear in the Exam List as a draft (not yet visible to students), but if you marked as published exam will appear..
2. Managing Visibility (Publishing)The system allows you to control exactly when students can see schedules and results through the Edit function.
Phase 1: Publishing the Exam ScheduleOnce you have added subjects and dates to the exam, you must make it public:
In the Exam List, click the edit button for the desired exam.
Locate the Publish Exam checkbox.
Check the box and click [Save].
Result: The exam schedule becomes visible to both Superadmins and Students.
After marks have been entered and verified, you can release the results:
Click the edit button for the exam.
Locate the Publish Result checkbox.
Check the box and click [Save].
Result: Students can now view their grades in the Exam Results section. Superadmins can download marksheets via the Print Marksheet or Reports module.
Select Edit: Click the edit button in the Action column.
Modify: Change the exam name, description, or linked modules in the Edit Exam modal.
Save: Click [Save] to update the Exam List.
