Generating Exam-Wise Rankings
The Generate Rank feature calculates a student’s standing relative to their peers within a specific exam. Once generated, these ranks are integrated into the student’s record and become visible on their digital report cards.
Go to: CBSE Examination > Exam.
Locate the specific exam in the Exam List.
In the Action column, click the Action button and choose Generate Rank.
Clicking the button will redirect you to the Generate Rank dashboard for that specific examination.
Initial View: You will see a comprehensive list of students with their Admission Number, Name, Class, and other demographic details.
Rank Column: Initially, the "Rank" column will appear blank or as "N/A" until the calculation process is triggered.
Calculate Ranks: Click the [Generate Rank] button located at the bottom-right corner of the page.
System Confirmation: Once the process is complete, a success message will appear at the top: "Rank has been generated; further you can update the regenerated rank."
Review: The previously empty "Rank" column will now be populated with numerical standings (e.g., 1, 2, 3...) based on the total marks calculated from the exam.

Re-generating Ranks: If you edit a student's marks after generating the rank, you must click the Generate Rank button again to update the standings and ensure accuracy.
Once generated, the rank is no longer just an administrative tool. Students and parents can view their specific rank by logging into their portal and navigating to: CBSE Examination > Exam Result.
