Recording Student Marks in CBSE Examination

Overview

The Exam Marks module provides a subject-wise entry system. It allows teachers to input scores, record student absenteeism, and add qualitative notes regarding student performance for both academic and practical assessments.

Navigation Path

  1. Navigate to: CBSE Exam > Exam.

  2. Locate the specific exam in the Exam List.

  3. In the Action column, click the Action button and choose Exam Marks.

1. Selecting the Subject

Once the Exam Subject modal opens, you will see a list of all subjects assigned to that exam, along with their scheduled dates, times and room number.

  1. Identify the Subject: Scroll to the subject you wish to grade (e.g., Hindi, Mathematics).

  2. Open Mark Entry: Click the Add Marks button in the row corresponding to that subject. A new modal specific to that subject will appear (e.g., Enter English Marks).

2. Inputting Student Performance

The entry model displays a complete roster of students assigned to the exam, including their Admission Number, Roll Number, Student’s Name, Class, Section, Gender and Father’s Name for easy identification.

  1. Enter Scores: Input the marks in the Theory, Practical and Assignment columns based on the student's performance.

  2. Handle Absenteeism: If a student did not attend the exam, select the Is Absent checkbox. This will disable the input fields and record an "Absent" status on the marksheet.

  3. Add Remarks: Use the Note field to include any specific observations regarding the student's work for that subject.

  4. Save Data: Click the [Save] button to finalize the scores for that subject.

[!IMPORTANT]

Repeat this process individually for every subject listed in the Exam Subject modal to ensure the marksheet is complete.
