How To Work With Q&A Feature In InfixLMS

Welcome to the Q&A feature user guide! This guide will walk you through the steps of utilizing the Q&A feature available in our software for students and staff.


Student Panel:

  • Accessing the Q&A Button:

    • While watching a lesson in the course, you'll notice a Q&A button located on the right-top side of the screen.





  • Submitting a Question:

    • Click on the Q&A button to open a pop-up display where you can add your question.




  • Notification:

    • After adding a question, you will receive email and system notifications confirming your submission.

  • Receiving Response:

    • Once a staff member replies to your question, you'll receive email and system notifications.

  • Managing Questions:

    • In the student panel, navigate to "My Questions" to view all submitted questions.

    • From the "Action" button, you can view the lesson, edit, or delete your questions.




Staff Panel:

  • Setting Up Staff Roles:

    • Admin creates a role as "Staff" from "Admin Panel -> User Manager -> Role".





  • Adding Staff:

    • Admin assigns the role "Staff" to staff members from "Human Resource -> Staff -> Add New Staff".





  • Answering Questions:

    • Staff members access the Q&A feature in their panel.

    • Questions are listed, and staff can answer them once the admin approves the question status.





  • Notification System:

    • Staff members receive notifications when a new question is added. Only one staff member can answer a question at a time.

  • Managing Questions:

    • Staff members can view, edit, or delete questions from the action button.

Admin Panel:

  • Approving Questions:

    • Admin can see the list of questions submitted by students and change their status. Staff cannot answer questions until the admin approves them.



  • Question Settings:

    • Admin assigns groups of staff to answer questions.

    • Pusher credentials are set up for real-time updates without page reloading.





  • Obtaining Pusher Credentials:

    • Admin creates an account on Pusher's website and obtains credentials.

    • These credentials are then pasted into the software's question settings.
